St. Patrick Day Goodies

the Blog

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up and besides wearing green, it may be hard to find festive ways to celebrate such a fun holiday. We found that the easiest way to incorporate some green into your life this March is through creating some tasty treats that everyone will love.  Despite how busy this month might be for you, there is still time to share the love and the luck this St. Patrick’s Day.

For The Traditionalist:

Rice Krispies are one of the easiest sweets to make to begin with (all you need is the cereal, butter, and marshmallows), so why not jazz them up by adding everyone’s favorite cereal and spread the love and luck around! Crunched for time? Don’t worry! These take about 10 minutes total cook time!

For The Beginner:

Something even easier and quicker than Rice Krispy treats? No way! But yes, we found a colorful great way for all family and friends. Rainbow bark is just another take on the Peppermint Bark you find around Christmas time! Great to make with kids, and very easy to clean up!

Rainbow Bark

Ingredients:

1 package of vanilla CandiQuick (the white chocolate used to make chocolate covered strawberries!)

1 package of Circus Animal Cookies

2-3 Cups of Lucky Charms cereal

1 – 1 ½ cups of M&Ms

Sprinkles- the more colorful the better!

Line one large rimmed baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick spray, set aside.

Melt the white chocolate candies according to package direction (normally in the microwave, removing to stir about every 30-45 seconds) make sure you don’t burn it! After completely melted paint a nice even layer on to the baking sheet.

Immediately add the mix of Circus cookies, Lucky Charms, M&Ms and sprinkles. Feel free to get very creative! Add any other ingredients you think would add color or would enjoy!

Allow the bark to set by sticking it in the fridge for about 20-25 minutes or so.

Remove bark and using hands or the end of a butter knife, crack into large pieces!

Enjoy the rainbow!
