Starting your own company is hard… It requires an endless amount of work. Although you may be putting in hours of your time, it could take awhile to get that steady income flowing. Here are a few ways we have made money as small business owners while pursuing our day dream: <\/p>\n

1. Etsy <\/strong><\/a>
If you are talented at DIY projects or have an artistic gene – sell your work! Most people don’t have the time to make bachelorette bags for 10 ladies or have beautiful handwriting. That’s where you come in! If you’re creative & love to craft, why not make money by doing it? If you’re talented at design, help someone out who might not be! <\/p>\n

2. Promotional Modeling\/Marketing<\/strong>
If you enjoy being around people & socializing, then this is the job for you! As a promotional model, you get to work with different brands to promote their products at exciting events. Super easy & you can choose your own schedule\/which events you apply for. No commitments needed. <\/p>\n

The application is incredibly stress free: you are bound to have a friend who is a photographer, so have them take a headshot for you (or use one of your 100 glamorous selfies). Next, put together a list of your previous experience in marketing, modeling or school. Build your resume and If you have a great personality and are outgoing, you can make around $20-40 an hour as a promotional model! <\/p>\n

We know it’s not the most glamorous job, but hey it pays the bills & it’s great for meeting new people. Be sure to keep business cards in your purse while on the job and try to get to know your guests. We’ve gotten hired for several freelance jobs from people we’ve served.<\/p>\n

Work two-three dinner shifts a week and guess what…You have the ENTIRE day to work on your own company! <\/p>\n

When choosing a restaurant, make sure to look at the menu. Working at a restaurant with an expensive menu means higher tips. Higher tips means more money in your pocket!<\/p>\n

4. Babysitting\/Driving <\/strong>

Not all parents can get off work early to pick up their kids at school…. but YOU can! Check out sittercity.com<\/a> and care.com<\/a> to find small babysitting jobs during the week that consist of you picking up and hanging out with the kids until the parents are off work. It’s as simple as A-B-C. <\/p>\n

5. Sell Your Clothes!<\/strong>
Dear Hoarders – this ones for you! Yes, we all have that one shirt from 8th grade that we can’t get rid of, but the rest of those old clothes can get kicked to the curb. ThredUp<\/a> makes it easier than ever to make money from your old belongings. All you have to do is sign up online, they send you a bag with a shipping label, you fill the bag with any clothes that need to go bye-bye, & drop it off at the post office. About 2 weeks later, you get an email and BAM. You just made money. Obviously it depends on what kind of clothes & brands you send, but we’ve made around $120 thus far from sales. Worth a try! <\/p>\n

Same goes for My Sisters Closet <\/a>but this is an in-store drop off & the amount you make is determined by if the clothes sell or not. We bring clothes every few months & have made over $500 in sales. <\/p>\n

6. Juice Plus Distributor<\/strong><\/a>
Are you familiar with good nutrition & a healthy lifestyle? Our family has been taking Juice Plus<\/a> products for over 3 years now and are firm believers in the benefits it has to offer. With over 20 different fruits, vegetables & grains in capsules,  we decided we wanted to share our passion of this whole food by becoming product distributors.  Being a distributor allowed us to increase our monthly income on a part-time basis.
